Implant Treatment

Implants are treatments aimed at restoring the aesthetic and chewing function of lost teeth. Special materials made from titanium alloy are used for this purpose. The implant treatment process includes planning, surgery, integration period, and prosthetic restoration.

Planning: Initially, a 3D dental tomography is taken to determine the quality and volume of the bone in the area where the implant will be applied.

Surgery: Under local anesthesia, the implant is placed into the jawbone.

Osseointegration: After the implant is placed, a few months are needed for the connection between the implant and bone to complete.

Prosthetic Restoration: After the integration is complete, the prostheses for the implant are prepared in the laboratory and placed into the mouth.

Implants are materials that mimic the roots of natural teeth but do not decay like natural teeth. However, regular oral and dental care should be maintained to preserve the integrity with the bone and gums.

Can Implants Be Placed at the Same Time as a Tooth Extraction?

During the time after a tooth extraction, bone resorption (dissolution) occurs. Therefore, if an implant is planned, it is best to apply it after the healing period following the extraction. In some cases, if the bone and extraction site are suitable for an implant, the implant may be placed simultaneously with the extraction.
